While I was getting my private pilot license many years ago, I learned from Jim, my flight instructor, that I needed to trust my instruments.
"You can't trust your body. Your body will lie to you. You HAVE to trust your instruments. If you don't trust your instruments, you WILL die."
That sounded ominous. But it was true. It still is.
Fortunately, we have instruments--outside perspectives--that make it easier to know what to trust and believe.
Trust your instruments.
